About

Why it exists

Steam and publishers set a separate price for each region, and the gap can be large. Steam itself shows only your own country’s price. SteamBaza collects a game’s prices in every region in one pass and converts them into your currency, so the difference is visible at once.

Independence

SteamBaza is an independent project, not affiliated with Valve, game publishers or key sellers.

There are no ads and no affiliate links: “Open in Steam” goes straight to the game’s store page, with no tracking tags or middlemen. Places in the table are not for sale; only the data sets the order.

Where the data comes from

Prices
The Steam store (store.steampowered.com) in 25 Steam regions: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Denmark, Georgia, Germany, India, Japan, Kazakhstan, Mexico, New Zealand, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States.
Price zones
Countries we do not query on their own get their Steam price zone’s prices: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan get Georgia’s, euro-area countries get Germany’s. Prices match within a zone, but some games may not be sold in a given country.
Updates
1,363 games: the popular ones (91) are checked every day, the rest in rotation, each at least once a week. Last check: October 30 at 2:29 PM UTC.
Exchange rates
Frankfurter reference rates (from central-bank data) as of October 30, once a day. Conversions go through the US dollar, with no markup.
Catalog
Paid games popular with players, picked by Steam’s top-sellers ranking and review counts. Free-to-play games are left out: they have no price to compare.
Charts
Official Steam data: users online (store.steampowered.com/stats), the games with the most players and single-game player counts (Steam Web API), the most-wishlisted upcoming games (the Steam store) and game community followers (steamcommunity.com).

Principles

  • Only what can be checked. Every price is the one Steam shows in its own store; check it with the “Open in Steam” button.
  • No tweaking. Conversions use the day’s reference rate; “≈” marks a converted amount. How savings are counted is explained in “How we collect and count prices” on the home page.
  • Honest about limits. The price at checkout can differ: your bank uses its own rate and fees, and Steam changes prices. Under Steam’s rules you buy at your account region’s prices; we show prices for comparison and do not help anyone get around those rules.
  • We fix mistakes. Spotted a price that doesn’t match Steam? Write to us with the game and the region.
